Entry into profession: I earned my degree from Texas Chiropractic College. I graduated Cum Laude, and was awarded the prestigious "Nose to The Grindstone" award. I am constantly learning advanced methods to make pain relief faster, longer lasting, and more effective. I have devoted most of my continuing education to clinical rehabilitation with a special emphasis in whiplash and workers compensation injuries, nutrition and acupuncture. I maintain memberships in several professional organizations. This constant contact with other health care professionals enables me to keep abreast of the latest developments in the art of my profession-and to pass them on to my patients in the form of high-quality care.

Brief history of profession:
The Chiropractic profession of today was begun in 1895 with Dr. D. D. Palmer who gave the first chiropractic adjustment. His son, B.J. Palmer carried on his fathers tradition and was instrumental in developing further the principles and educational process that is the foundation of today's Chiropractic. Let's face it. Sometimes relief from pain and injuries is hard to find. People take drugs to help with pain. Over-the-counter and prescription drugs help for a time. The drugs wear off-and the pain returns. Plus, the use of drugs to cover the symptoms is a major concern including the problems with dependency and drug side effects and toxicity. People try their best to live with their problem, but sometimes day-to-day responsibilities in addition to their pain are just too much. Chiropractic treats the root cause of the problem, not just the symptoms, and allows the body to do the healing.
